The gentle breeze

The gentle breeze silently blows
Alone for miles as the sun glows
Doing whatever little it can
Cooling the masses’ burning tan

Bringing relief however small
On its path of perpetual roll
Receiving a gift of sweaty beads
In lieu of its cooling deeds

Never feels ashamed or frail
In walking the scorching sunny trail
Or taking on the mightier rival
Even taking with it a path of revival

Of life drying and dying in the heat
Oppressed and fallen bound by a cleat
A small speckle of life it brings
The last drop from the last wring

Carrying a hope of resurrection
Even in midst of the destruction
Has lessons, for many to learn
Of how to stand even in a churn

Of never getting bogged down
From the shine of the opponent’s crown
Doing whatever it is destined
Small, big, askew or aligned

Celestial Battles
Hurriedly came the gasping night
After the day long arduous fight
To overpower the glazing sun
In the end of this daily run.

It’s reign now very imminent
Over everything vague or pertinent
Overcoming the fatigue of the acclivity
It overpowers all in its serendipity

The sun now hides below the seas
Its actions and attack in the freeze
Taking a rest between the blows
While the opponent rightly glows

The night rules supreme now
Darkness and silence coming in tow
The masses oblige to this dictate
Silent spectators of this change in fate

But still pockets of resistance remain
The stars the moon hard to refrain
Show the mettle of their worth
That, not all surrender on the earth

The day stealthily creeps back
Mounting from distance a new attack
And witness to this new battle
The birds announce in their tattle

That soldiers of the day quickly grow
Piercing the night with its deadly prow
The commander now appears, proud
Driving away the few opponents crowd

The night retreats back to its shell
Some anonymous cell in a faraway dell
The earth has now come a complete circle
Bringing balance to this majestic chronicle.
