When did you
When did you last stop to look
At the leaves falling from above,
The gushing water in some brook,
Inviting you to some unknown alcove
Free from the routines and rush
Of a trifling struggle you indulge in.
And stopped your perpetual push
Into the path of the original sin
Seeking what seems the eternity
To the eyes that see nothing else
Other than making that serendipity
In every heart beat and pulse
Blockading all sights and visions
Of a nature which also exist
Beyond the walls of prisons
Made by your mind egoist
When did you last have a moment?
To spare listening to a bird’s chirping
In this world where every second is lent
By some deadline or projects’ timing.
When did you last hear the beating
Of your own heart with so much pain
At making for yet another meeting
In hope of getting that eluding gain
So stop, hear, look, sense and feel
Everything you took for granted
To be useless and waste like a peel
Of the fruit every one always wanted
